The Dirty Shingles?

When Mart and Rich used to jam as a two piece it's the nickname they gave themselves. No other band name seemed to fit, so they went with it. For a more detailed explanation you'd have to ask the band!

What kind of music?

If the groove feels good and Rich can belt out some vocals to it, a song is born. Some start as blues jams and others experimental tunings. The vibe when played live is always great as that's how they were written.

What's 'How to handle a highbrow honey' all about?

Recorded in two days in the winter, the first finished songs were played live and with the best takes making it onto the final record. No overdubs and minimal post production.

There are two tracks below to have a blast of!

"Support band was the Blusey Rock Duo, Dirty Shingles. Another local band, Rich and Mart really warmed the crowd up well with songs such as Getting out of hell and Too much pressure. They have just released a Debut Album which is definitely worth getting. Raw bluesy rock at its best. They hyped the crowd up well for Headliners Voodoo Vegas.

Except from review of an awesome evening at The Cellar Bar when we supported Voodoo Vegas.

" a plethora of blues/rock, delivered in an energetic and entertaining way......
Martin’s precision drumming combined with Richie’s guitar generates a really beautiful noise with some great musical twists & turns "
